Resting Up For Tonights Game

Update: Oh what a bad decision!! My much anticipated HORSE game was a disaster. Event 52B of The Maximus Series. I should have stayed under my ShowBoat blanket on the couch and nursed my migraine headache lol. Without question I played my worst game of the year. I lost 700 of my 5K on the first level and never got back to 5K.

I thought there was a glimmer of hope when I made it back to 4885 during Razz. But the mistakes were everywhere. Twice I flopped bottom set in Omaha H/L (and knew it) and tried to chase down the nut low three handed and whiffed. I was just awful from start to finish. On the bright side I am back under my ShowBoat blanket now and signing off 33 "toothpicks" lighter lol.

TPFC: 96%

Well tonight we managed to beat 96% of the field hehe. 158 runners for the "The Poker Forum Challenge". I was in the top 3-5 almost the entire game. Slipped to eighth with twenty to play and was sixth when FT started. Was in fourth place when my AJ push ran into AK. So a sixth place finish and a seat in the finals.

What really stung was a hand at FT when with JT three handed the turn made a board of A-K-6-Q. I checked first hoping to induce a bet from two players with larger stacks. They both checked and the river was a Jack grrrr. They both had a Ten.I could have scooped a nice pot on the turn but everything told me a bet was coming and I could stuff them with a reraise.

Still yet to win this event. Not sure how many times I have played it. Miss it more often then not. The Buy-In is next Saturday night 2.20 "toothpicks". Congrats to tonights winners.

St. Pat Cat: Not So Lucky

Just played the St.Pats Freeroll on Intertops. Finished 34-688. As usual could not win the key hand grrrr. AQ in the BB and I could see from a mile away that a player was going to push with any hand they got if it folded to them. I was ready to call and of course they hit a 9 and because they had 141 more chips then me I was gone.

Played my standard freeroll strategy again and this game I only lost two hands entire game where I made a bet.One was to a player who had limped in with Q6 suited when he had only 3.5BBs preflop (from early position)that was a head shaker. The other was when I folded to a reraise preflop. So for second time in five tries this year I beat 95% and ugh lol. Other time I got 92% fourth time was 90% fifth was appx 65% (out of money). Amazing how few and far between my large field games are these days.

I think I am losing 58% of my preflop all-ins as the favorite so far this year. That is so sick. Feels like the number is higher when your playing (kick in stomach lol).Got a little aggravated when I lost final hand. When you are sitting there and predicting bets as they happen for 20-30 straight minutes from players it can be frustrating to watch it unfold and be unable to do anything about it. Your sitting there being dealt 4-T every hand so you watch and you say "here comes a 3x raise, here comes a push, here comes a reraise". And it all happens right on cue. And then the bad thing happens to you lol. (Nice rhyme)

TTWarrior Outduels Me

Was in position tonight for Forum win #100 but was denid by my old Nemisis TTWarrior. It was like a Rounders Radio flashback as we had myself, TT,CatDaddy and Jsaw in the final five. Not to be confused with "The Final Four" I mean it is March Madness after all.

After the game I popped into the RR chatroom for the first time in ages. Caught up with some of the regulars and shared a few laughs. Will try not to let it be another year before I pop in again. In any event the quest for 100 will have to wait a little longer. It is now 99 to 99 in Firsts and Seconds, which will cross the finish line first hehe. I am probably the only idiot who keeps track of this stuff.

Tribute To My Little Buddy

I lost Murray one year ago today. The greatest cat of all-time and my namesake at online poker.I had to drop the "A" from his name as it did not fit on most poker sites as MurrayTheCat. But for today we will slip the "A" back in.

In case nobody noticed he truly was the brains of the operation hehe. Yeah everyone is probably figuring that out.

GottaTalkPoker Omaha

I actually won a game! Just a SnG for the stats. Got lucky by flopping nuts on the last hand with KT34. Figured RG was raising random so had enough to call 2 BBs plus 150 to try and win it. He had 2600 left after flop and was committed when the ace hit his AK. He is a very solid player, fun to play.

Poker Maximus: Event 18

I played my first "Poker Maximus" event tonight. It was a $1.10 buy-in with unlimited re-buys for 90 minutes (3000 chips) plus a 30K add-on at the break. I told myself 2 weeks ago "do not play this event, it will be an all out shove fest". Five minute blinds on top of $1 re -ups adds up to lol.

But I had missed the two games I had pegged on the schedule early on and the next game I like is over a week away so out of boredom I jumped in at last minute. Lost all my chips a few times lol. Once with worst hand but all others ahead lol. Caught some traction and when we got to add-on I had 64K (became 94K) which had me about 120-1500. Pretty good I thought.

The blinds and antes continued to go crazy and the betting never slowed down. I just got horrible cards and there always seemed to be a shove and a call before I even looked at my hand.Within 20 minutes my great position was under 10BB's. I ducked and weaved and pushed and prayed lol. Hit three times and won two more post flop but it all ran out 128-2545.

Poker is harsh, you beat 95% of the field and you barely double your money lol. Invested 7.10 and got back 15.90 hehe. Another cat did well, RRcatdaddy finished 20th. Eventually going down when an UTG push for 1.8 million with QJ suited ran into KK with the blinds at 120K-240K.

GTP @ Carbon: HORSE

Second place:Jomamma99 takes the win tonight at HORSE. I simultaneously bombed at Omaha H/L on Cake (GFN). I really need to stick to one game hehe. I made a bad read with 33 on a JQQ flop. Called a short stack all-in for 20% of my stack with 33. I had them on AK and snaked a three on the river. Even I get lucky sometimes.

Great Move: Great Song

When I heard Davy Jones had passed away today it reminded me of when Guns and Roses and Axel Rose exploded on the music scene. Sweet Child O' Mine. I knew I had seen that dance move before. It took me a few weeks to put it together hehe. Obviously I wasn't the only one who noticed the similarity. Davy Jones lives on!!!!!

OFC @ Colt

My strategy was working perfectly, laying low and pretty much just playing nut hands. I had only misplayed one hand which had knocked me from 12K-9K. This was only hand I lost entire game prior to my demise. The blinds reach 800 so I am at a point where I have to make some progress fairly soon. I pick up AK from the four hole and a player with 22K raises to 1800. Now I have a feeling he has a pair so AK is not great here especially against his stack. I give it some thought (it is either all-in or fold) and I decide to pop it.

To my surprise position 6 fires all-in for 17K. This guy has been at my table entire game almost. We have played 6 hands together which I have won 5. He has seen me play like a rock. Original raiser calls and we flip them up.

Original:QQ
Me:AK
Donk:AT

Flop is 8-4-7 followed by the Ace (yes!!!) but of course the river is a ten and the donk who should have never been in hand takes it down. If he folds pre I move to 15,450. If the ten whiffs 22,450. And I am in the thick of it. I was 34-49 going into the hand. Average stack for 49 players would be 15,183 so I be sitting solid.

So it goes in the world of the OFC lol. In any event congrats to the winners. I played for GottaTalkPoker this time around. We had a player finish 21st ((GottaTalkPoker). I have had the donk who caught me late finish 1st twice and 3rd once. I like to call them the "Fluke" lol. I checked back and even with the monstrous stack this guy did not hang on for the top 30 oops. I guess three nasty beats were not enough to get there hehe. To tired to tell the others he dished out.

So I won 1.8 which is 3.7 short of the buy-in. Not sure if I am up to try and win my way into the game. See how I feel after lunch tomorrow lol.

Hmmmmm.

It was decision time on 4th street when offrdmom bet after I checked and was raised by an obvious high hand. With another possible low behind me that checked I decided my hand was probably best at this point and reraised essentially putting myself all-in. I figured this would fold the other low and put me HU with offrdmom for the low. Also based on the cards that were out I had 13 outs but I thought 12 (correctly) because I put her on an eight to her 10.So after subtracting two for card loss I figured it was 10-8 in outs. But hers don't matter if I can't make my hand grrr hehe.

They flipped up and I was ahead. Unfortunately we both drew bricks and the high took the entire pot. I said "GG" then typed in "I knew I guessed right but drew two bricks". I was talking to offrdmom as I know her and I had given some thought before making the decision to make my play. I am about to get up and stretch my legs when I see the high hand player type in "keep guessing". Followed by "yeah i'm a jerk".

Hey I lead the league in firing out comments but they are fired (right or wrong) at the person involved. ( I am usually wrong by the way)I also lead the league in e-mailed apologys lol. I just can't figure out why this guy chimed in with that ridiculous comment. Maybe he had no feel for the dynamic of where I was going with the hand. Because he couldn't have possibly thought I was directing my chat to him. And even if I was it wasn't a negative comment. It was simply a statement that I got my play right but the cards fell wrong. In any event I lost 5.5 "toothpicks" in this one as I finished 7th or 8th (I forget now lol).

Hats Off To The G-Men/ Lin-Sanity

It's good to be a Giants fan the last few years!! As the team continues to garner "Rings" I continue to lock up "Championship Head Gear".(LOL) If they win next year I will need a longer sofa.

Do we dare let ourselves start thinking about a Stanley Cup this year for the Rangers? Even with the sudden arrival of Lin (this kid can play) the Knicks chances of winning the title are somewhere between "sLIN" and none" and "sLIN" just left the building.

Back After Eight Days

Played for the first time today in eight days. The result was "no comment" hehe. Was a Razz game and a NL Bounty game, both were forum action. The "toothpick" request I put in for from Intertops came amazingly fast. They process on Thursdays and the "lumber showed up on Friday. I had been hearing all these stories of Cake taking months so I assumed it would or could be the same with them.

I did manage to not focus on how everyone else was playing and just lock in on my own game. Although when shocked by the dubious play that killed me in the Razz game I did say "Well Played". I have 4-6-T showing to his 5-T-Q and he reraises twice until we are all-in. I have A-2 in the hole. I turn A and river 4 and he winds up winning with 9 low with runner runner. I don't get that play at all. He raised preflop and I called so he had to know I started with three lows. So when I bet how could he raise? And then call another raise? Oh well.

Not sure when I will play again but not a great return lol. But at least I didn't get a headache. Just lost six "toothpicks" and maybe got another gray hair or two.

In "Live News" this coming weekend there are two 15K guaranteed PL Omaha H/L events at the Borgata. One Saturday and one Sunday, both at 11am. They are $200+$30 and are re-entry events. I believe they are unlimited up until level four. Not sure about this type of event. As much as I like Omaha I can't see playing PL as a re-buy. But will check the blog to see how much interest it draws. The Omaha events didn't garner much action at the Winter Open.

The Spring Open will run April 4th-20th. My chance to redeem myself from that bad fold a few weeks ago. Not that I think about it much lol. Will post more about the events when it gets a little closer time wise.

This is the next big event rolling into Atlantic City. Many two day events and even some three day events mixed in here. Unfortunately I don't see myself being available in this two week slot. Played one circuit event a few years back at Ceasars and we had 1130 players and the 130 over 1000 had to wait for eliminations to be seated. I still remember seeing a player eliminated on first hand and walking out lol. Will always remember this tourney because after eliminated I had my best ring session of all-time. The casino was crawling with players and action seekers. I guess I was in the right place at the right time after being in wrong place at wrong time on level 6 of the game hehe.

I Threw In The Towel Today

Flop of 8-9-5 all diamonds in Omaha H/L why in the world would a player holding JQ23 with no diamonds stay in until the river three handed? And he gets the low somehow lol. I would never think that neither player had an ace. To me he was trying to hit the ace and oddly also trying to fill his gutshot straight lmao.

I have watched this guy do so many peculiar things in Omaha previously. So even when I knew I was beat three hands later I threw my chips in and decided to hit the couch and watch the golf. Besides Phil has stormed into the lead as he chases PGA win #40 at Pebble. While the game was going on I made a WD on the site (Intertops) of 93% of my "toothpicks". I only have two games I play on this site anyway. And with the Everleaf shutdown in Malta this week I fear this network could go soon as well.

Here We Go Again: The Next Domino Falls

The Everleaf Gaming Network has prohibited all residents in the United States from using its services after the company received a cease and desist order from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

In a post at TwoPlusTwo on Thursday, a representative from Minted Poker revealed that the network faces legal action if it continues to facilitate its services in the U.S. Minted Poker is one of more than 100 skins on the Everleaf Poker Network.

"The network owners have today sought legal advice and also met with the LGA, the Maltese Licensing Authority, who have advised them that due to the nature of the threat and the current climate, the network needs to withdraw its services from U.S. customers," said the representative. "I really understand how this will worry our players especially those in the U.S., but I also wish to reinforce that all monies held by all poker players, U.S. and rest of world, are secure and ring fenced."

Everleaf also banned residents of France from playing on the network. The site updated its Terms and Conditions on Thursday to read the following: "No person who is resident in Malta, France and USA may open an account, play, or in any other way participate in the ELG offerings and/or services."

Everleaf was one of only a few networks providing real-money online poker to players within the U.S. after Black Friday. Now that the U.S. government has applied pressure to one of the remaining offshore networks, time will tell whether others like the Merge Gaming Network, Bovada, and the Cake Poker Network follow.

Minted Poker Response

It Pains me to have to write this but ..... I always promised I would be Open, Honest and Upfront

I have just come from a conference call with one of the directors at Mintedpoker who has been liaising with the network until late this afternoon, a communication will be released tomorrow that will state that the network will no longer be able to facilitate US players.

I do not yet know the time scales, but it will be swift due to threats made to the network regarding legal action if they continue to service the US poker community.

Several weeks ago when the network lost one of the US processors, some of the processed funds were held back by what is now clear as the Department of Homeland Security, they have now also issued a letter to decease and desist operations in the USA, under threat of legal enforcement against the network. (I do not know these details).

The network owners have today sought legal advice and also met with the LGA, the Maltese Licensing Authority, who have advised them that due to the nature of the threat and the current climate, the network needs to withdraw its services from US customers.

I really understand how this will worry our players especially those in the US, but I also wish to reinforce that ALL monies held by ALL poker players, US and rest of world, are secure and ring fenced.

I have been informed that the Network and LGA will now commence proceedings with Homeland Security, as to how these funds are returned to players, hopefully once agreed the cash out process will be swift, so as not to cause undue stress to the parties involved.

I do not have many other details to give you at this point in time so please bear with me, as always I will be here to help if possible.

All European funds are safe and the European network will continue, the only noticeable change will be the network will shortly change all accounts into Euro accounts and of course the American players will be missing from the tables.

I know my feelings wont help anyone effected really, but I also wanted you to know that personally I am gutted !
Not for Mintedpoker we can continue, as a European based poker room, but for the thousands of American players who have quite happily supported us and made Mintedpoker their home.

Poker has been part of my life for 20+ years and I was introduced to it in the USA, it seems wrong to me that the people of the US are now forced into non participation or one with a narrow choice of participation.

I really want to thank the US players and wish you all the best with regulation, which I hope wont turn out to be a disaster, or poker and to some extent freedom of choice in the US really has ended.

All communications from the network I will post up here
Regards Neil.

Cake and Merge is all I have left lol. I am 156 miles from nearest casino. I wasn't planning on moving for at least five more years,am I going to have to accelerate that plan for poker reasons lmao.

120 Players: Omaha

After getting bounced around like a ping pong ball in the GTP Forum Razz game (finished 11th) I decided to jump in the Omaha 400 guaranteed on Carbon with 120 players. Well I thought it would never end lol. I started to fall asleep a few times but got though it for a fifth place finish and 46.08 "toothpicks" (net 39.48).

Now I can really go for some sausage, eggs, french fries, whole wheat toast and a big soda. Catch a few winks and then hit the diner hehe.

Out Of Sorts Again

I am retiring from online poker again. Who knows how long it will last this time. I know I am only an average player but ABC poker is driving me up a wall. At least in the casino I can tell a story with bets, make reads and act accordingly. If i see a guy is betting with bottom pair I can gently knock him off it. Here they are "General Cement" and you have to either fold or check call to the river.

5x bets preflop followed by a bet of 40 into a pot of 700 which 4 players call. It is so maddening. My head is pounding so hard when I should be having fun. Online I can fold 15 str8 hands preflop then raise 4x and get 4 callers lol. Then you have the limp/all-in call. Why not raise and give yourself two chances to win the hand? Limp with KT and then call when A4 pushes,I dont understand that. You may have won the hand with a raise. Oh and I am so tired of players calling that a "coin flip". A coin flip is 50-50. KT is 42.5% in this hand, that is 7.5% BELOW 50%. So thats not a coin flip.

I sit here analyzing what everyone is doing (myself included) instead of having fun. Bad things happen live also but it is a few notches better. And I am usually buzzed before I even sitdown so that helps too. One of the ultimate ironys of online poker is that you can have 10 players watching without your knowledge. They can be sitting there learning and taking notes. Yet at your table of 10 you are lucky if you have 2 players paying attention at all.

In my rating system I currently have myself as a 5.25 on a 1-10 as a Live player. Online I have myself down to a 4.5 ranking. I think everyone can agree that Live is always going to have a better crop of talent overall. So this just shows how bad I have become at handling and adjusting to how to play online poker. Basically I have regressed and stink at present. But knowing me I will be playing tomorrow lol.

6-2: Pittsburgh
5-0: San Fransisco
5-3: Dallas
4-1: NY Giants
3-2: Washington
3-2: Green Bay
3-2: Oakland/LA

Look who is climbing the list in Super Bowl dominance? The great Patriots now stand at 3-4 all-time.

Down The Drain

It feels like I am in a horrific slump online so I checked my ledger. Since Jan 17th when I was starting to play semi-ok I have lost 11.79 "toothpicks" lol. That covers 17 days. Over that period I played a total of 10 days. So about one "toothpick" a day down the drain. Feels like I am loosing the farm though.

Clock This Fella

Had an interesting situation in a cash game at the Taj Mahal the other night. Table of eight players 1-2NL and I have been here about 45 minutes. Session going okay,I am up about 100 "toothpicks". Table strangely has six Asian players and myself and one other I guess white guy. On proceeding hand Asian player takes about 3-4 minutes to decide on river call on a $55 bet. I wasn't in hand and it didn't matter to me how long he took.

So in next hand player bets $20 on the river and I am trying to decide if my second pair is good. No exaggeration we barely have reached 30 seconds when one of them calls "clock". I said "what are you kidding". Pit Boss comes over and after brief discussion says I have one minute. I have already decided to fold but lean back in my chair and grab my beer. I am never confrontational and so laid back when I play live but when I put my beer back down I say to the guy "why are you being such a prick"?.

I muck my hand and tell the other guy "NH". I play 3 or 4 more hands then walk over to Pit Boss and told him I thought the situation was BS. The dealer should have backed me and I didn't appreciate trying to be pushed around. I told him I was taking my chips cashing out and heading over to another casino. He tried to stop me and offered me a free room. I told him I already had a room and went on my way.

A winning session but that was not cool. The dealer lost control of that table and that pissed me off.Rather then get "tilty" or thrown off, figured it was best to just walk away and take my profit with me.

Later that morning I went to a cafe (forget the name at moment) and had French Toast. It was some of best I ever had,an explosion of taste hehe.I do remember where it was though. The waiter said they are always munching on the left over bread in the kitchen that the cook uses to make it. I can see why.

Some bad news, since I have been back I seem to have lost interest in the internet game.Have played 4 MTTs and 1 SnG and just can't get focused. After sitting at live table with chips and people to talk to it seems so lame. No face up reads, back to ABC poker. I have played wretchedly since I got back.May need to take a break for a week or so.

Update: 2/09/12 I had e-mailed the Taj pokerroom when I got home to voice my concerns over this experience and they got back to me today after doing some research. This is what they had to say.

Re: Contact us form submission (www.playtajpoker.com)

Thank you for getting back to me clearing things up. I spoke with dealer who told me that, in general, she felt that you were not taking too much time act. Furthermore, she felt that you were a gentlemen and a pleasure to have at the table. In fact, she really wished that she could have told the supervisor that the other player's request was unwarranted but she believed that "only on the hand in question" you may have been talking a bit when the action was on you. She told me that the other player could have been more patient and that everyone else at the table didn't seem to mind. She said that some players even went to your defense and told the impatient player that he shouldn't have called time on you.
Determining whether or not to put a player on the clock is often controversial. We all have our own opinion on how long it should take a player to act. Although there is no set amount of time to act on a hand, occasionally players (usually losing players) get frustrated and are quick to call "time", especially when a player seems to be having a good time, while they themselves are losing. Unfortunately, the dealers are then asked to side with one of the players and sometimes they may take what seems to be the path of least resistance. The dealer also knew that in a worst case scenario, that you would still be given a minute to act on your hand.
I also wanted you to know that whenever a player calls for "time" the dealer has no option but to call a supervisor and make them aware of the request. After talking with the dealer about this situation, I believe she would respond differently in the future. I know that doesn't make up for what happened to you but at least I believe she has learned from her mistake. If you ever decide to come back, please let know so we can buy you and a guest lunch. It is simply a goodwill effort on our part as our way of saying that we are sorry that we ruined your night. Thank you for taking you time to contact me and I wish you good luck.

I knew I wasn't crazy hehe. Sometimes you wonder if you were remembering things the way they happened. So now I will go back and I guess there will be a free lunch for two as well lol.

Train Wreck In Big Ones Thus Far

After my wipeout/disappointing finish in event 13 of Winter Open I now stand at 1-5 in events over 350 "toothpicks" on the live front. The average field is 552 players.
One event was a wicked bad beat another I missed money by eight spots but overall this is a poor record grrrr.(Includes One WSOP Circuit Event)

Key hand this time was folding the winner after the turn with two pair when I was sure I was up against a set. How many times do we blow up our stack not folding to a set? I had 12K left with blinds at 400 but if I push after weather he calls or folds I have great stack and confidence/outlook going forward.

Didn't help that my cards sucked for next two levels.Reshoved maybe premature on the final hand but not bad with 17bbs.So I went 3-6 in the side events and 1-2 in the ring. So I cash 42-96 in ordinary events (10 bubble savers) which means I bust less then half the time live. A small step up should not show 1-5 (given it is a small sample).

Maybe I kick-ass in the next five, have definetely learned a few things about myself thru analysis. Still alot of goofy play even at this level though. But the better blind structures should be helping me. I will hopefully be back for the Spring events.

Small events are fun,and I know so many of the players but the problem with most of them is that the blind structures don't hold up late in the game. If you have say 60-75 players and you play well enough to get to that last table you feel good. This is where the game is suppose to start, but usually it is pretty much where the big guys push around the little guys and luck decides the outcome. Postflop play almost completely goes out the window. If you have 12 BBs it is kind of hard to raise pre and play post so most just shove.

My final game the FT chip leader when we started barely hung on for the chop. He had AA and QQ cracked by short stack shoves that made str8s. The guy who started FT 9th and was already angling for chop was 3rd with 7 to play after two suckouts. I just close my eyes and have another beer lol and pray I hang on.

Off And Running

Opened with a 3-48 at the ShowBoat. Had this young gun who was unwilling to chop when we got to the silly portion of the game. As we were discussing it again #4 went down and I moved up a peg. The funny thing is he had to suck out early at the FT when he pushed all-in after the flop with an inferior King just to stay in the game.

I bluffed him twice during the 10-20 phase and positioned him twice at FT. I just needed a few more bullets. On last hand we mixed it up and I had 15 outs after the flop and hit air. But a good start to my mini vacation. Tomorrow I play event 13 at Winter Open. I don't feel all that well but I will do my best.

Oh I Got Lucky

This is the monthly freeroll for qualifiers from the weekly Saturday Night $4.30 Buy-In.

I made a nasty suck-out on the river HU for a set. My opponent had slowplayed AA and it fooled me. There was no way to see it coming as the entire FT he was playing fast and loose. He started last 10 with lead (I was 2nd) and he was frustrating me because he wouldn't throttle it down at all. This lead to him doubling four players and making it a six to seven player game when it should have been a three to five at best. The game paid four spots.

So I took my bit of fortune and ran with it as I had started the HU as about a 4-1 dog. I think it threw him off kilter. He bluffed all-in on final hand when he missed his flush and I made pretty easy call with trip aces. I have lost about 200 hands the way he lost this one HU and have gotten out of sorts myself. I still remember the OPT game where it happened, I documented it on the tournament lobby and saved it as a reminder.

My new stat of charting my "sharp tongue" shows me at 10 good days and 3 not so good days so far this year hehe. Have made four total comments for the three bad days but it only takes one sharp or sarcastic one to count.Of course I grade myself pretty tough. At this pace I will have 84 bad days, have to work at this a little harder.

We went freerolling for the first time this year at the TPFC @ Americas CardRoom.135 players with average blind pace but the ante kicked in pretty early. Got out good but then got creamed by a weird semi-bluff. I turned a straight that was highly undercover and my opponent made a reraise 6xs my turn bet when they had as it turned out two diamonds in hand and a second diamond hit on turn. They scored it on river and knocked me to 254 chips with blinds at 150.

Make me mad and I will fight you to the death. That player got to 16K when I fought back to 1500 and they went out before me hehe. The board says I finished 13th but there was a player who always stayed at 1500 chips who wasn't at a table but stayed on leaderboard. Never saw this before, cheated every finisher out of one spot and meant that the bubble-boy actually should have cashed. If you go on site now it still shows them with 1500 chips hours after the game has ended and in 2nd place.

First time I played one of these events in at least three years. My take was one "toothpick".Third place was 5 "toothpicks",I always say top three is where the heavy lumber is lol.

GFN Omaha H/L @ Cake: SnG (13 )

Had the winner all-in after the turn with almost no outs but..... lol. Oh well,my cards the entire game would have made a Billy Goat puke. I did everything I could with them. Purposely made one bad call early to see opponents starting hand (224 chips) and blundered one 3/4s into game for huge portion of my stack. But after that I played pretty good for zero cards.I did find 4 or 5 situations that I bet and realized I should have made slightly differnt play. For some reason this happens in Omaha and it clicks like 10 seconds after I make the bet. Omaha seems to have a long learning curve for me. Had it won and went beyond dead after the river nightmare. But still came back from 5-1 deficit to almost even after losing 4.5-1 lead HU. Thats poker. GG Vex.
